The wine-growing tradition goes back to the foundation of the school in 1899, when it was established as the Royal Winegrowing School. Today it cultivates 3 hectares or 12,000 vines. Wine has been produced since the foundation of the school and sold since 2000. Since 2005, the own-label bottled wine with the controlled denomination of origin has been produced and sold. Each year, 150 hectolitres of wine with the controlled denomination of origin is produced. The cellar has a capacity of 300 hl.

The secondary school of Ilok is planning to grow an experimental plantation of grapes with some fifty different varieties of grapes on an area of 1.5 hectares.
